Have you always wanted to learn ancient Chinese art, but haven’t because you don’t speak Chinese? Have you ever been drawn to a delicate ink artwork, but wondered why it was done without the use of color? Do you have an impulse to paint with brushes and ink but don’t know how to start?
InkMoon Intro Workshop is specifically designed for you! Come explore traditional Chinese culture without having any previous background. You will be surprised at how accessible and enjoyable this ancient art is.
During a two-hour Chinese painting workshop in English, you will discover a new world: You will hear a brief overview of the history of Chinese painting, listen to interesting stories behind great works of art, explore painting tools which have been used for a thousand years and create your own artwork in the same way as the ancients.
Through each stroke, you will discover a world of beauty that is beyond time and space.
"This was an awesome class! I have a new appreciation for Chinese art now. I didn't realize it is so accessible and enjoyable!
Lucy did a great job laying out the fundamentals and then giving us lots of time to practice. I didn't feel rushed at all and I was really happy with my final result."
--Pauline from USA
"Lucy's enthusiasm towards Chinese painting immediately grasped my attention, making me want to learn more. Her vast knowledge on the subject was equally well balanced by her patience and simple explanations of the different types of materials, strokes, and styles used to create this art. In her class I felt safe, unrushed, and open to experimenting with this new art form!"
--Tysia from Canada
